"No Internet, Secured": How to Fix It

A Windows message: you're connected to a password-protected Wi-Fi network, but Windows can't reach the internet through it.

Windows shows “No Internet, Secured” under your Wi-Fi network and nothing loads.

  • “No Internet, Secured” under the network in the Wi-Fi list.
  • A globe icon or warning on the network icon.
  • Other devices may still work.

netsh winsock reset

Restart Windows.

    1. macOS shows “No internet connection” under the network in Wi-Fi settings; renew the DHCP lease and change DNS in the network's Details.

Still not working?

If every device shows no internet, call the ISP. If only this PC does after a network reset, the Wi-Fi adapter or its driver is the likely cause.

See it in the app

On a Mac, LightAtom's connections view shows whether any app gets out once you're connected.
